why do we struggle to not let people see us cry
why do we wipe our tears before they have a chance to make their cleansing journey down our cheeks
shame
fear of being known
fear of being weak
tonight I cried
i let my tears fall all the way down my face
my tears gave me the strength to face the things that break my heart
i am stronger

What you get for around $100 a month...
Sight in the dark.
Heat.
Use of the computer.
Use of my hair dryer.
Use of my straightener.
The sound of a fan while I am sleeping.
The sound of my husband's C-pap while I am sleeping.
Cartoons.
Cold milk.
Clean, dry clothes.
Hot food.
A vacuum that does more than decorate the laundry room.
A porch light.
Security.
Did I say my computer, oops, I got my priorities messed up for a second there.
Children who can get up before me.
No worry concerning how many days I am going to have to go without these things.
Ah, the value of electricity.
Heat.
Use of the computer.
Use of my hair dryer.
Use of my straightener.

The sound of my husband's C-pap while I am sleeping.
