Garage Sales, Mustaches, & French Pedicures
We, or I should say I, am having a garage sale tomorrow. Well, it is actually a driveway sale. Steve won't touch any garage sale with a ten foot pole let alone mine. He acts like he is blind to the whole process. Oh well, I'll spend the $50 I make on a real French pedicure. When I started writing this 34 seconds ago I didn't know if the whole garage sale thing was worth it. I never seem to make that much, and it is a lot of work. But, as I am processing this situation, thanks for listening by the way, I realized that any amount of work is worth the treat of sitting in a massage chair for 45 minutes having someone rub my feet, clean and cut my toe nails, and paint them. Plus, I got a bonus of running around the neighborhood tonight at 10:30 with Lindsey putting up signs with my red duct tape. That in itself was worth the work. She is quite funny when she doesn't hate me....Oops she just read this. =)
No, these aren't my feet. Just wanted to make sure I defined French Pedicure for my father when he reads this. When my parents were visiting I took my mom to get her eyebrows waxed. She looks marvelous by the way...Anyway, my dad literally thought she was going to come home with wax in her eyebrows. You know, like the guys that wax their mustaches into little curly Q's on the ends. See above picture. Um Yah, I know. Can you imagine. It makes me laugh out loud thinking of my mother with waxed eyebrows...Sorry, mom. My dad is a mountain man....I have no excuse for him. Anyway, I thought he would like to see what a real French pedicure looked like after my situation with craft paint the night of Tif's graduation. Dad already figured out the waxed eyebrow thing, and asked my mom to go upstairs when she came home looking like a new woman. They were talking about my upstairs....yikes....We will leave that for another blog entry...Just kidding, mom.
So, off I go with a renewed energy. I have a purpose, a goal. French Pedicure Lady here I come!!!!
Disclaimer: Everything is funny to me at this time of night.

Shellie,
I love your blog in the morning! It goes right along with my delicious and necessary vice...my coffee. That is, if I don't spew it because of laughter. Yesterday pork and beans..today coffee...I sometimes think you are the only one who truly understands me. Thank you for being obedient to God and bringing laughter to us overworked, yet, ever faithful moms. You are a blessing and WE WILL be visiting the driveway sale. By the way, just how many uses does red duct tape have? :)
