Today I signed Ian up for afternoon kindergarten. He is so excited, and I am so sad. He got a new Spiderman backpack and new Spiderman shoes that light up. Life is good.
When my kids were small, a friend said to me, "Enjoy them now, because once they start school, they aren't yours anymore. They belong to the world." It's a bittersweet time.
