Ian's Newest "Vocabulary Word"

Ian's newest word is "b.u.t.t.-load." Pleasant. I explained to him that this is a gross choice of words and what it actually means. He said he learned it from Mark, his friend at school. He seems to learn a lot from Mark. I told him not to say it, so for the next ten minutes every time I heard him in the other room while he was getting dressed, he was experimenting with the word in different voice intonations.

When I was in kindergarten, I called my brother a pig a.s.s. I had heard it on the bus from a guy with a mustache. I didn't know it was a bad word. I should have know since he was smoking outside of the bus right before he got on. He was a "highschooler." I called Marq that. My dad was on a ladder, like he usually was and is still to this day. He scaled down the thing and came after me. Holy cow, I didn't even know what I had done wrong. I guess I learned pretty quickly that day not to say that again, at least until I was a highschooler standing on the "smoking corner" with my quality choice of friends.

When Coral was 4 and Tif was 6, I walked past the bathroom and heard Coral say the word s.e.x.y. Talk about a jolt to a young mom. I think I handled it quite well though with textbooks and illustrations. Talk about over reacting. I thought I had to explain the whole thing to them, just because they said a word that contained "that word" in it. My poor girls. They still talk about it.

Marq just told me he found out from your mom that he was very lactose intolerant as a child, so maybe he was a pig ass. I sometimes call him that myself. I think you were justified.

Incidentally, Alec's word was "snot cock". Have noooo idea what that is but it sounds bad.
