Ah, The Feeling of Old

Today Ian was sitting in the van talking up a storm as usual. He says to me, "Mom, they didn't have electricity or animals when you were little. Just flashlights." Note this was not a question, but a fact. I now know what it feels like to be perceived as ancient by my children. Animals were even around before Adam.
