Last night at dinner we were talking about maiden names. We were talking about different women we knew and what their names were before they were married.
Ian looked at his dad and asked, "What was your made-up name, Dad?"

Not to get to philosophical, but it is really great when families talk. It is especially neat when families with growing children take the time to talk about things in real life. The "real" education that little ones get from hearing their family talk about "real" things is priceless. Sitting around the supper table or around the "family" room and talking is something that many families no longer do and the consequences are costly. It is wonderful to enjoy each other with just regular old talk; like "Made-up Names". Keep up the blogs. It's kind of like talking with our family even though we are way back here. Happy Birthday Steve and Shellie.
