"What are you doing out here you swilly goose." says Evan.
It took me a moment to realize that he was calling me a silly goose, just like I call him. It makes my heart skip a beat when my kids call me a term of endearment that I have been calling them all their lives. Precious.
I am just happy that he hasn't said to me "Mommy, make sure you tell me when you have to go potty," or "Don't potty in your underwear," because frankly that is precisely what he hears alllllll dayyyyy long from me.
This morning I asked my bouncy, blond four year old why he never sleeps in on Saturday mornings. He said, "Sleep in where? You always sleep out on Saturday mornings." Hmmmm....what a swilly goose.
